Are you a seasoned hospitality executive with a passion for elevating the private club experience?
We are seeking a General Manager to lead operations at our premier destination for golf and social excellence in London. This role requires a leader who understands the nuances of private club management and possesses the strategic vision to attract and retain a large membership base.

The Opportunity
As the General Manager, you will serve as the Chief Operating Officer of the club, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. You will be responsible for all aspects of club operations, including golf course maintenance, food and beverage services, financial management, and member relations. Our ideal candidate brings a proven track record in the private golf sector, demonstrating the ability to balance operational efficiency with a high-touch member experience. You will be the face of the club, fostering a culture of excellence that resonates with our discerning clientele.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring service standards meet the expectations of a high-end private facility.
  • Financial Stewardship: Develop and manage annual budgets, capital expenditure plans, and financial reports. You will implement strategies to drive revenue growth while maintaining strict cost controls.
  • Member Engagement & Acquisition: Execute targeted strategies to attract educated, professional members. You will serve as the primary liaison for current members, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring high retention rates.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team. You will foster a positive work environment that encourages professional growth and minimizes turnover.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Board to define long-term goals and implement policies that ensure the club's sustainability and prestige.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a professional who embodies sophistication and expertise. Our successful placement rate for executive roles hinges on identifying candidates who possess specific industry competencies:
  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive management experience in a private golf or country club setting is essential.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. CCM (Certified Club Manager) designation is a strong asset.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are non-negotiable. You must be adept at networking and building relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Acumen: Strong financial literacy with experience in P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting.
