Dennis Borders is the Franchise Partner for Central & Chicago Illinois - Hospitality Division. Prior to joining Gecko Hospitality, Dennis has over 25 years of experience in the Hospitality and Restaurant industry.
Dennis spent more than 20 years in his last position at Chicago based Levy Restaurants and held the position of Regional Executive Chef / Culinary Recruiter. As the Regional Executive Chef, Dennis was responsible for all culinary operations and recruiting with in his region with sales in excess of 400 million dollars.
Borders began his culinary career with Levy Restaurants Sports & Entertainment at Wrigley Field in Chicago in 1987, where he created unique menus for the Stadium Club and Mezzanine Suites. He then brought his creativity to Comiskey Park in Chicago, where he also oversaw all culinary and recipe development for the suites and private clubs. Dennis was promoted and oversaw all operations from Chicago to LA. He was responsible for openings of stadiums, areans, convention centers and music arenas all over the country, and has played an integral role with the food production for several prestigious events, including the 42nd and 43rd annual GRAMMY Awards, NBA, MLB and NFL All-Star Games, The Kentucky Derby, 1999 Papal Dinner for Pope John Paul II, Super Bowls 39 and 41, Arlington Million, and special dinners for President Ronald Reagan, President George Bush Sr., President Bill Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, as well as a Benefit Iron Chef Cook Off with Mario Batali and Rachel Ray.
