General Manager - Brew Pub
Lead a Hospitality Experience, Not Just an Operation
We're looking for a passionate, people-first General Manager to lead one of Toronto's most dynamic hospitality destinations—a space where craft beverages, food, art, music, culture, retail, and community come together under one roof.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced restaurant or hospitality leader who has mastered operational excellence within a corporate environment and is ready for something different. If you're looking to move beyond rigid playbooks, endless reporting structures, and cookie-cutter guest experiences, this role offers the chance to bring creativity, personality, and entrepreneurial thinking to a truly unique hospitality business.
You'll lead the day-to-day operations of our taproom, kitchen, retail store, and events business while helping shape the culture, energy, and guest experience that make the space special. You'll have the freedom to contribute ideas, build community connections, create memorable experiences, and make a meaningful impact on the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The best candidate won't be managing from an office—they'll be on the floor, connecting with guests, supporting the team, and helping create an environment people want to return to again and again.
What You'll Do
Hospitality & Guest Experience Leadership
Lead service on the floor and set the tone for exceptional guest experiences
Create a welcoming, energetic atmosphere that reflects our creative and community-focused culture
Build relationships with guests, regulars, local partners, and event clients
Ensure every visit feels authentic, memorable, and uniquely local
Team Leadership & Culture
Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing hospitality team
Foster an environment built on accountability, collaboration, inclusivity, and fun
Conduct team meetings, communicate priorities, and celebrate successes
Create a workplace where people feel empowered to contribute ideas and grow
Business & Operational Excellence
Oversee daily operations across the taproom, kitchen, retail, and event spaces
Manage scheduling, labour planning, and operational efficiency
Monitor key business metrics including sales, labour costs, guest satisfaction, and average spend
Drive revenue opportunities while maintaining an exceptional guest experience
Events, Community & Programming
Support the planning and execution of private events, community gatherings, and special activations
Develop relationships with local organizations, artists, musicians, and community partners
Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver engaging food and beverage programming
Help bring fresh ideas to life that strengthen community engagement and drive traffic
Inventory & Financial Management
Oversee inventory management across beverages, food, retail merchandise, and supplies
Implement effective ordering and stock-control practices
Minimize waste while maximizing product availability and profitability
Support reporting, forecasting, and business planning initiatives
What Success Looks Like
Guests rave about the experience and keep coming back
Team members are engaged, motivated, and proud of the culture you've helped build
Events are well-executed and contribute to community engagement and revenue growth
The venue becomes known as one of Toronto's most welcoming and vibrant gathering spaces
What We're Looking For
3+ years of leadership experience in restaurants, bars, hospitality venues, breweries, or similar environments
Strong business acumen with experience managing labour, inventory, and financial performance
Proven ability to lead and inspire teams in fast-paced hospitality settings
Experience overseeing events, group bookings, or special programming is an asset
A hands-on leadership style and willingness to jump in wherever needed
Genuine passion for hospitality, food, beverage, arts, culture, and community
Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to bring forward new ideas and opportunities
Availability to work evenings and weekends as required
Why This Role Is Different
This isn't a role for someone looking to simply maintain standards. It's for a hospitality leader who wants to help create them.
You'll join a business that values creativity as much as execution, community as much as profitability, and individuality as much as consistency. If you've spent your career learning how great hospitality businesses operate and you're ready for a role where you can bring more of yourself to the table, we'd love to meet you. Apply Now!
